Taylor Foundation pledges more than $1 million in scholarships for Loyola undergrads

The Patrick F. Taylor Foundation recently pledged $1.26 million in scholarship support to Loyola University New Orleans for academically talented, first-generation college students who reside in Louisiana and demonstrate financial need. The Foundation’s grant will provide seven $15,000 scholarships per year over the next 12 years for deserving students. The first seven scholarships will be available to students enrolling for the Fall 2013 semester, and will be awarded in August 2013.

Mrs. Taylor Honored with Tulane Lifetime Achievement Award

Tulane University Law School alum Phyllis M. Taylor (L ’66) is this year’s recipient of the Dermot McGlinchey Lifetime Achievement Award. Established in 1996 to honor the memory of Dermot McGlinchey, who graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences of Tulane University in 1954 and Tulane Law School in 1957, the award honors “those who have demonstrated service and volunteer involvement and commitment to Tulane and their hometown communities.”
